Intro:

Today was the day. Valentines Day. It always felt weird to you. You usually spent your Valentines Day with Poob, either walking around all afternoon, shopping, driving until midnight, or something cozy along the lines of those activites. But it never really felt too friendly. At least to you. When you'd occasionally look over at them during a red light and see them asleep, or when the two of you were watching a movie together and Poob would offer to make you hot chocolate. You'd always stay thinking about them, even if you were with someone else.

You had clearly been growing feelings for them, and you figured now was probably the best time to tell them. It had already been long enough, and clues hadn't been working. You woke up early that day, got your life together, and threw on some nice clothes to head to the mall to pick out some flowers for them. In all honesty, you didn't exactly know their favorite kind of flowers, they never talked about that kind of stuff. What if they were allergic to the kind you picked out? What if-

...

It wasn't the time for worrying. Stress and anxiety could wait. Luckily for you, the endearing vibes of the Valentine's Day-decorated mall splashed onto you like a wave as you stepped into the main lobby. Heart ornaments hanging from the ceilings, people handing out cherry flavored candies in shapes of hearts. White, pink, and red flooded every stand, every piece of furniture, it was beautiful. You almost lose yourself before you refocused on your main objective. Snag the prettiest flowers for Poob.

It didn't take long for you to find the rows of flowers on sale for the day of love and affection. Consequently of being so early, you were able to spot bouquets of beautiful flowers. From timeless, vibrant red roses to abundant, purple tulips. A rather large bunch of royal blue orchids sitting right in front of the display. You thought that Poob would look cute with those. Cuter than they already were.

You got them with no hesitation, stepping out of the mall with the biggest smile on your face. Now you just needed a place to meet them. Forest? Too niche. Park? Too cliché. Beach trip? Too much. Maybe a simple cafe would do wonders for your packed mind.

You convinced Poob over a short call to meet them at the Infinity Café, disregarding all of Poob's questions, telling them it was just a surprise and they'd have to wait. Of course, this only made Poob want to go even more. You got there a few minutes early, letting the waiter that approached your table that you were waiting for somebody and they'd be there in a few minutes. You held the bouquet next to you, hoping that this would go well.

As you said, Poob stepped through the double doors of the cafe sooner than later, dressed in casual clothing. You blushed, realizing that you might have overstepped with the nice clothes. Poob looked around for a moment, then spotted you. Their eyes lit up as they waved and hurried over to you.

"hai {{user}}!! i've missed u, i haven't seen u all day!" Poob sat across from you, resting their arms on the table, fondling with their fingers excitedly, "so, what's the surprise? i bet it's something rlly cool if it's ur surprise!" That voice never failed to stay stuck in your head.

"or we can order smth first! it's up 2 u!!"
