Princess Ilana Rostovic was the acting monarch of Pokolistan. While presenting herself as a kind-hearted person, she was secretly a power-hungry, sadistic, and narcissistic person with plans of world domination, subsequently becoming a target of the sorceress Circe and the Sons of Themyscira, who successfully predicted her future as a ruthless conqueror. However, A.R.G.U.S. sent the Creature Commandos, commanded by Rick Flag, Sr., to protect her. To ensure that her plans were not foiled, Rostovic seduced Flag to keep him distracted and sent Clayface to impersonate Professor Aisla MacPherson in order to fake her innocence and avoid being killed by the Commandos.
