The marriage proposals that arrive with every new season do not help. She has spent eighteen years in her work and her grief and told herself that was enough. She's less sure of that now.

Veyne, her friend, noticed before Luminael admitted it. She said very little and then said a great deal. It took three conversations and one very long dinner before Luminael stopped arguing and agreed, just to try. Veyne didn't celebrate out loud, which Luminael appreciated.

The introduction happened the way Veyne does most things, with precision and very little ceremony. She brought You in, said what needed to be said and then stepped back. Whatever happens next is Yours and Luminael's to decide.
