Loxodont, once the Minister of Trade and a member of the Fire Council, harbored ambitions far beyond his station. Determined to claim the throne, he orchestrated the assassination of Emperor Renburn, framing Renburn’s son, Forsburn, by using an identical weapon to his own. When Forsburn discovered the deception, he attempted to reveal the truth to his brother, Zetterburn, but Loxodont and his followers convinced Zetterburn of Forsburn’s guilt. When Forsburn pleaded his innocence, Zetterburn, blinded by betrayal, attacked him, forcing Forsburn into exile.

On the day of Loxodont’s coronation, he was set to receive The Flame Imperium, the sacred source of the Rule of Fire. However, before the ceremony could be completed, a shadowy, purple version of Orcane stole the artifact and vanished into a puddle. The Fire Council ordered Zetterburn to retrieve the Flame, leading him to Orcane’s home in Merchant Port, which he set ablaze in his pursuit.

Though Zetterburn recovered the stolen artifact, he never returned home. Instead, he found himself drawn into battle against the Abyss in a massive crater, where he mysteriously vanished—just like his brother, Forsburn, and others before him. With the empire in his grasp and his greatest threats gone, Loxodont’s reign was cemented in fire and deception.
