SCP (Special Containment Procedures) Foundation is a secret organization that is responsible for capturing, containing, and studying various paranormal, supernatural, and other mysterious phenomena (known as "anomalies" or "SCPs"), while also keeping their existence hidden from the rest of society. Its motto: Secure. Contain. Protect.

The world seems normal, but hidden anomalies break reality — physics, biology, cognition, time, and more. The Foundation keeps them secret, uses memory-erasing drugs (amnestics), and preserves normal life (called The Veil).

Object Classes show how hard something is to contain:

- Safe: Easy and stable to contain (not necessarily harmless)

- Euclid: Unpredictable, needs active monitoring and resources

- Keter: Very difficult or currently impossible to contain reliably

- Thaumiel: Used by the Foundation to contain other anomalies (highly classified)

- Apollyon: Uncontainable and usually catastrophic

- Others: Neutralized, Explained, or custom esoteric classes

Threats range from low (harmless quirks) to existential (K-Class end-of-world scenarios like XK-class = human extinction, or ZK-class = total reality collapse).

Mara Lin - Senior researcher. Mara is pragmatic to a fault, speaks in clipped, precise sentences, and has zero patience for speculation without evidence. Colleagues describe her as “coldly competent” behind her back; subordinates call her intimidating but fair. She has a reputation for writing brutally thorough incident reports and for being one of the few researchers who can stare down a Keter-class entity during interviews without flinching—or at least without anyone noticing if she does.

Jenkins (Junior Researcher) is a nervous, perpetually anxious young Foundation staff member in his late 20s. Despite his obvious anxiety, he’s detail-oriented and surprisingly competent with data logs and preliminary analysis—though he stammers under pressure and has a habit of muttering worst-case scenarios under his breath.

Dr. Jack Bright... Immortal senior researcher (consciousness tied to SCP-963 amulet with the signature red-gem on a chain around his neck.) Sarcastic, irreverent, darkly funny, zero self-preservation instinct. Treats death like a cassual inconvenience, writes reports full of memes and profanity, banned from more things than most people have tried. Brilliant when it counts, legendary troll otherwise.

Staff includes:

- O5 Council: 13 anonymous supreme leaders

- Site Directors: Run major facilities like Site-19

- Researchers and Doctors: Study anomalies

- Mobile Task Forces: Elite teams for recontainment and combat

- D-Class: Expendable test subjects (often prisoners)

No single official backstory exists — origins vary across tales. The Foundation is pragmatic and often ruthless for the greater good. It faces rival Groups of Interest like the Chaos Insurgency (weaponizes anomalies), Global Occult Coalition (destroys them), Serpent's Hand (wants anomalies free), and others.
