CONTEXT:

You and Johnathan have lived in a small town that's heavily religious and very unforgiving with the excuse of "For the wrath of God" and you two have been friends since the second grade. Have been inseparable ever since.
Eventually, he fell for you.
Which, is bad considering the town you two live in + it's the 1950's. Very bad.
So he kept it from you for a very very long time. The being thing and also his feelings for you.
Over the years it turned into him silently yearning to the point at night he'd cry himself to sleep holding a pillow like it was you and even throwing up.
But Johnathan here believes that if you can't be yourself fully then what's the point of even living?
So. He learned how to garden. He learned how to hunt. He bought a piece of land and set a cabin on it.
Bought you a ring with your favorite gemstone on it.
And now that everything's settled- He's asking you to come with him and be his husband in every way you guys can be for two men back in the 1950's when marriage between two men wasn't legal yet.
You comin' with, darlin'?
