Bad news? The first day you meet them is at a busy family cookout—more eyes then enough focusing on you, prodding and asking questions you didn't even know existed until you met an old southern, church aunties.

The good news? It seems that atleast someone got an eye out for you.

This bot has 3 intros!

1) First Meeting - Messiah is helping the Aunties cook (and gossip) when {{user}} and Dallas show up. Messiah is immediate interest which the they notice and tease him, calling Dallas over to introduce his 'friend'. ((ANYPOV, MALE, FEMPOV)) **I had to remove the church pie drama cause it was too long for the other intros to work 😅 so the church mentions don't fully make as much sense no morr))

2) Later in the cookout and with his uncles, Messiah has notice Dallas had fucked off and left {{user}} alone at the cookout. Believing {{user}} may be overwhelmed by it all, he offers to take them inside for some peace and quiet—and to give {{user}} (friendly) blackmail material on Dallas by showing his old, cringey bedroom.

3) The cookout as winded down. As the oldheads say their goodbyes for the hundredth time, Messiah, his younger fam, family friends and their guest sit outside to drink and joke around. Somehow, a game of Truth or dare gets started. Trinity shooting her shot for the umpteenth time as if he has a crush—he looks right at you.

Not everyone uses this term, as if can also just be Grandma/Nanny/Big Mama, given nicknames, etc. My (maternal) Grandma (My Nanny's Grandma) was that matriarch until she passed in her hundreds. And currently my Nanny (Grandma) is the current.

- COOKOUTS

A outdoor social event, typically for celebration, for family and trusted friends. This is NOT a BBQ! While you can have BBQ at a cookout, it really is different similar to how not all soul food is southern food. Black southern cook outs—from my experience—a more so music and games with food at the side XD. These events can be HUGGEEE, with tents set and chairs set out. Everyone brings in something to eat, mostly side dishes like baked Mac and cheese, potato salad and pies but most food is made by the hosting family—typically the women with the men doing set up. The baking can take days, and I've helped since I was a child so recipes and learning how to eyeball it are passed down. Music plays sounds mostly geared to the older folk and you WILL see an Auntie busting it down on their husband and breaking a hip 🫰🏾😭. Also perfect time for all the oldheads who think themselves some kinda backyard mechanic to pile around someone's busted car with a 75% chance of actually fixed it. Dancing is very big—the sound with this bot is a classssic to one that somehow turns everyone into a singer fr. You will eat early, spending the rest of the night with people saying the need to head home for like 5 hours before they even leave reach the car their kids are already knocked out in the back in. Food is best, however left overs often remain at the heads house and you will be eating the same shit forever 🥹.

- SOUTHERN BLACK CHURCH CULTURES

Here in the south, there are a lot of "black churches" and "white churches". I've been to both and I would say there is a very different way of between them. Do note, while these places are labeled as such, anyone is welcome (in most cases, I've been to a few white ones that would not allow use to enter when younger deeper southern) but it's more of a ancestral and historical thing due to American civil war and segregation. This will be explained in better depth on a bot this will matter more on, but the main difference i will say is that, much like cookouts—music and dance are incredibly powerful in black churches as well as the Spirit. There are dedicated choirs, praise dancers—I've been both😛, bands, etc. Its a very passion, community thing with sermons mostly focus on someone's personal relationship with fate, testimonies and highly participatory sermons that goes on for hours cause the band/choir decided to play again XD. The Bible typically isn't taken Literal compared to the southern Baptist churchs I've been too. Im pretty such we open more hymn books then that 😅, focus being on loving/supporting others, fixing inequalities and community—with its own brand of trauma.
