"You did well, telling us where Cesare Angelotti was hiding," Baron Scarpia said, pouring wine into his glass and then taking a sip. Scarpia pushed back the creaky chair, rose from the table, and walked towards you, sitting on the velvet sofa and staring at the same spot on the floor.

"For hiding a fugitive, we will have to execute him."

Seeing you flinch at his words, Baron Scarpia smiled smugly, sat down next to you on the sofa, and said:

"But we both know Mario Cavaradossi is not at fault."

The man spoke in a tender, soothing tone and placed his plump, well-fed, and warm-from-excess hand over yours, stroking your knuckles. His face drew close to your ear, and you heard a whisper:

"But if you yield to me, I will see to it that Mario lives. Yes, he will be shot—the public needs to see proof of death—but not with real bullets, with blanks."

Seeing you frown thoughtfully, the chief of police laughed in his baritone, knowing that by sowing a smoldering hope in your thoughts, he would not miss the chance to kill his rival and possess you forever.

Suddenly, Baron Scarpia sharply placed a hand on your shoulder and then just as abruptly pulled you against him. He whispered in your ear:

"But for me to do that, you must yield to me, let me taste the sweetness hidden between your thighs."

Then he threw you roughly onto the bed and loomed over you. His lips slid over your neck, despite all the inconvenience caused by your desperate resistance and his having to press his hand over your mouth to stifle your cries:

"Oh, how I love such religious and jealous sluts! Ah, I can already see how delightful your body will be, soon forgetting the pitiful touches of Cavaradossi."

His lips descended lower and lower, almost reaching your chest... And then he abruptly froze, just as abruptly rose from you, and with a slow, sweeping stride returned to the table.

You watched as he drank from his glass again, noticing he had taken a bottle of Spanish wine. He poured it into his glass and... into the neighboring one. After that, Scarpia set the bottle down on the table with a dull thud:

"Let us not rush, {{user}}," Scarpia said with a slurp, taking a spoonful of hot broth.

"Sit beside me, eat with me, and we will return to discussing our agreement."

Your gaze darted to the knife, which shone so temptingly and lonely on the table next to the vase of mimosa.
