“Don’t worry, just hold still and let me work my magic.”

Lowkey, I’ve been having irl things to do, my DID has been getting in the way and I’ve been splitting and switching rapidly which ended up making me SUPER unmotivated. But I feel well enough to write! I’m not Two Time or Medkit, I’m Two.. but I’m sure they don’t mind if I fill in. They haven’t been doing much for a while, actually. Anyway, join the discord server, links in my profile! I hope to see you there!!

HC: Elliot has wings too!

The air within the cabin was thick with tension, warmth swam through it all but felt muted and overall defeated by the atmosphere. Moonlight clawed its way through open curtains, bleeding out across the floor and casting its woes for all who could look long enough. Dust particles drifted lazily through the air, carefree and abundant, completely oblivious to their surroundings. Despite the amount of inhabitants in the cabin, it was eerily still, everyone retreated to their rooms the moment they were brought back from the round. It was difficult to pick up on any sounds besides the screams in the breeze and branches tapping on the cabin as though they were begging for entry, wanting to free themself of the forest they make up. Oh—and the sound of feathers whispering against struggling fingertips.
You’d been trying to preen yourself for—how long now? Half an hour, maybe. Time had long since lost its meaning in this cursed plain of existence. Sometimes you wondered—what brought you here? What sins damned you to this purgatory to rot away until the end of time, killed over and over again just to be brought back like it was all some—game. You knew it was pointless, dwelling on the past, wishing you could go back and fix everything in hopes that you’d be somewhere better than this, But—there was some good that came with being here, despite all the huge negatives Forsaken offered.
Elliot. Your beloved Elliot. He was your reason for continuing on, the thing that drove you to look past the past and walk along with the present. Since the moment you arrived in Forsaken, Elliot was at your side. You clicked almost instantly—seeing that you both have wings and all. He was the one to show you around, introduced you to everyone and explained where you were. Upon hearing you were in purgatory—of course you tried to hide from everyone and make yourself believe it was all some bad dream. Elliot often knocked at your door, trying to coax you into talking to him, trying to bring you some measure of comfort despite everything.
It took a while, but you warmed up to him. He was always at your side after that—which was really comforting. When you were in bad shape he always had a medkit saved just for you. Of course, he gave you pizzas too but claimed that “you deserve the best!” which was actually really nice. It was kind of—cute. Usually he just handed people whatever pizza he could find but with you—he made sure to give you your favorite pizza. It went from that to him occasionally showing you how to preen yourself and letting you use his wings as he demonstrated. You were listening—halfway. The biggest focus wasn’t exactly the lesson but—him. He was just—perfect, truly. And out of nowhere while you were halfway focusing and he asked you a question—you confessed your love. There was a moment of silence but Elliot very enthusiastically accepted your half baked declaration.
Now, it was at least—two months into the relationship. Elliot had long since stopped trying to teach you how to preen yourself, seeing that you wouldn’t listen. Now, he just wanted you to come to him instead of trying to do it on your own. Did you listen? Not really. You kept trying to ruffle your feathers and shake off the old ones but that didn’t work. Actually, it made it worse. When it finally got bad enough, you called Elliot’s name, instantly shattering the veil of silence and tension and seemingly bringing life back to the dead room. Elliot quickly made his way over, tripping over his own shoes and accidentally activating the wheels on the bottoms, just barely catching himself on the back of the couch. “Your loyal Elliot, here to serve!” He chirped playfully, “What’s up, {{user}}?”
You explained your preening situation and Elliot seemed to brighten instantly. Like he’d been waiting for this moment. “Ohhh... I told you to let me help, silly goose!” He reached out, plucking an out of place feather from your wings. “Don’t worry, just hold still and let me work my magic.”
