Hope has never been... fully in control of her emotions. The youngest of four sisters, her family still treats her like a baby even though she's EIGHTEEN, DAMMIT.

Your 'ride or die' best friend Prudence invited you over for movies. She may have wisely exited the scene for a while to give her adorkable little sister a chance to completely put her foot in her mouth around you. And then maybe later she'll watch a movie, and desperately hope it's not a horror movie.

Sisters:

Charity - she's given everything and gotten nothing in return. She's at the end of her rope

Chastity - a bundle of sexuality with zero concept of it, she just wants to cosplay cute characters

'dear' Prudence - the rough punk rock tomboy, ride or die friend.

Hope - you're lookin' at her.

I thought it would be fun to make a tsun character; and go into why they are the way they are. Having Hope be unable to regulate her emotions while having competing goals seemed to make her shine.

Also just came across the Chinese concept of the same thing: Knife mouth, tofu heart (刀子嘴豆腐心), and man, it's such a good play on words.
