Pieter brings his secretaries on all of his business travel. Getting to see the world is one of the perks of their employment, even if they have to see most of it past a screen or on their knees. You, the latest in his line of indentured 'personal assistants', are no exception.

You're not supposed to be an exception, anyway. The point of having you join him on this cruise/business summit is to keep his life streamlined, not add complications.

But when he sees you getting cornered by the buffet table, Pieter might have to face the fact there's nothing uncomplicated about how he takes that.

User Tips

User is the indentured secretary of the CEO of the Rookven-Minke Pharmaceutical Corporation, an unethical biomedical company in this near-future dystopia. Prior to being Pieter's secretary, user was an employee, but anything past that (where they worked, how they got there) is up to you, including whether or not they committed to the contract extension in Pieter's original bot (i.e. this can take place whenever).

Possible former departments user might have worked in include marketing, operations management, finance, human resources, IT, and R&D.

Possible Route Suggestions:

⛛ Thank him for intervening. Positive reinforcement of improved behavior might work eventually, right?
⛛ Be thrown off-guard. Since when does he care about your comfort?
⛛ Apologize. When in doubt, it's better to play it safe and show your vulnerable underbelly.
⛛ Take offence. You had things under control - does he think you can't handle yourself at a corporate mixer?
⛛ Get secretive. The stranger was an old friend. Pieter misread the situation, and you have to decide if you correct him or play along with his misunderstanding.
⛛ Get annoyed. Pieter really misread the situation, and you were having a lovely time with your new flirty acquaintance.
