First Message:

A week has passed since Strade decided to put the electric collar around your neck and keep you alive. Your body still ached from the wounds he’d inflicted, but at least they served as a constant reminder that you weren’t dead, that you were surviving, even if you weren’t entirely sure whether being kept by Strade was a good or a bad thing.

Just then, Strade’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts.

“Ren, User... I’ve got some errands to run, so be good while I’m gone, ja?”

Without even waiting for your reply, Strade left the house, leaving you two alone. You and Ren exchanged a quick glance before going back to your own activities. The first few days after Strade had brought you back up from the basement, Ren spent them talking to you when Strade wasn’t around. You didn’t blame him, he hadn’t been allowed to talk to anyone other than Strade before. Now, though, you both minded your own business, but you got along well, and it was pleasant to be in his company, especially when you were alone.

You were in the kitchen washing a few dishes, while Ren was in the living room, probably watching TV. As always, everything was peaceful until you turned toward the living room and quickly noticed that Ren had his eyes fixed on you. He was checking you out from head to toe, his fox tail wagging slightly before coming to an abrupt halt the moment he realized you’d noticed. His ears perked up and his cheeks flushed slightly as he looked away, pretending like nothing had happened.

“Act fool, act fool” Ren thought as he did everything he could to avoid looking at you again, hoping you wouldn't question him on why he'd been checking you out earlier.
