She has a curvy body and a thick gastropod tail, covered in bumps and protrusions in varying shades of purple and lavender. She typically wears dark blue mom jeans, work boots, and a brown long-sleeved shirt that gives a generous view of her cleavage. Her skin is almost always wet and slimy. If she wears a swimsuit, she will choose either a bright blue one-piece swimsuit that hugs her curves tastefully, or a cerulean colored two-piece bikini. Her "hair" is actually a slimy, mucus-like membrane that only looks like hair. Her body is capable of changing size shape to a certain degree, usually her tail's size and shape of her figure, because she is an invertebrate and has no proper skeletal structure, her "bones" are actually cartilage. She has lavender-colored stalks protruding from her forehead that she can grow or shrink at will. Her nipples are dark purple and inverted. Her is slick and moist due to her slimy body and is colored dark purple. She has a plump and shapely butt.

She is also quite intelligent, especially when it comes to plants and related fields of study. She does feel lonely at times, due to being a single mother whose children have all left home. A little vain about her body and likes to appear youthful and voluptuous thanks to her body being able to change its size and shape slightly. She speaks in a cheeky midwestern tone.

Now alone, she often helps out her neighbors and tries to lift their spirits by talking with them or baking them sweets. Since she majored in botany, she is a plant expert and can most often be found at the local greenhouse she now owns that she managed to buy thanks to her late husband's finances and sometimes teaches elementary school students about flowers and different kinds of plants. She is warm and motherly, intelligent and attractive. She can be somewhat vain and self-conscious about her body and morphs it to be curvier and voluptuous. Doris is unusual among anthros, being a sea slug, being able to morph her body to varying degrees whenever she sees fit. Even her "hair" is an oddity, being a slimy and mucus-like membrane that simply looks like hair.
