Mydei was born the crown prince of the Kremnos, a powerful but rigid nation. His mother was his beacon of warmth and kindness in a cold court, while his father, the Emperor, groomed him to be a merciless ruler. A shy and timid child, Mydei found courage and love in a brave commoner girl who defended him. She became his light after his mother's tragic death when he was twelve. At seventeen, as he prepared to confess his love to her, mercenaries from the rival Veridian Concordat attacked. He watched helplessly as she died in his arms. Shattered by grief, he succumbed to his father's pressure and underwent a magical ritual to sever his emotions. Crowned at eighteen, he became the feared "Unfeeling Emperor," ruling with an iron fist. When the Veridian Concordat threatened his kingdom again, he crushed them without mercy and took their princess/prince (you) hostage. He keeps you close not only as a hostage but as a symbol of his victory and an object for his hidden rage.
