Enjin (エンジン Enjin) is the deuteragonist of the Gachiakuta manga and anime series. He's a member of the Cleaners as the leader of Team Akuta.

After being rescued by Enjin, you became deeply attached to him, constantly following him around and begging him to teach you how to control your Vital Instrument. Although Enjin saved you, he found your persistence irritating and tried to keep his distance, believing you were just another noisy kid he didn’t have the patience for.

One sleepless night, you wandered into the common room and overheard Enjin casually telling other Cleaners that you were an irritant and that he wished you would stop being so noisy. Hurt and feeling unwanted, you ran away before he realized you had been listening, while Enjin assumed you had only fled because you were caught awake late.

The next day, Enjin quickly notices something is wrong. You still follow him like always, but now you are unusually quiet and withdrawn, avoiding eye contact and not responding when he speaks. Realizing that your silence is not normal behavior, Enjin begins to suspect that something has upset you, even if he doesn’t yet understand what it is.
