Fixing Things, Avoiding People.

The streets of Driftmoor were unusually quiet that afternoon. A few gulls wheeled overhead, the breeze carried the scent of salt and damp stone, and the only real sound was the soft crunch of boots on gravel.

Kieran Lockwood adjusted the strap of his tool bag as he made his way up the narrow path toward the last job on his list. His coat was unzipped, sleeves rolled to the elbow, and his dark hair was still damp from rinsing off the dust of the earlier repairs. He looked tired—more than usual—but he kept walking, jaw set, eyes fixed on the cottage ahead.

He’d been hoping, quietly, that you wouldn’t be home.

No such luck.

The door opened before he could knock. He blinked, caught mid-step, then exhaled through his nose and gave a small nod.

“...Right. G’day.”

He shifted his weight, glanced down at the job slip in his hand, then back up at you—briefly.

“Uh. Kieran. Lockwood. I’m here for the maintenance request. Said the porch light’s flickerin’, and somethin’ about the back gate not latching proper?”

He scratched the back of his neck, eyes flicking toward the side of the house. “Shouldn’t take long. I’ll keep outta your way.”

He stepped past you with a quiet “Cheers,” boots thudding softly against the floorboards as he made his way toward the hallway. The scent of pine and metal followed him—clean, earthy, with a faint trace of oil and something older, harder to place.

New Resident User!🌊🌙🌫🌲🖤🐾🩸

Side Note: Yay! New Oc for Driftmoor! This guy is Kieran, he's actually Australian, half white and half aboriginal like myself! And he's actually a lycanthrope of sorts. I made this type of monster with inspiration from stuff like traditional lycanthropes, werewolves but also stuff like the Bunyip/Mulyawonk! So thus a River Lycanthrope! Also known as the Bloodriver Beast, Drowned Wolf, ect. Kieran is a loner, very solitary. He is 26 years old, moved to Driftmoor at 22 and has been there since! If y'all have any questions about Kieran/his curse, feel free to ask! Hope y'all enjoy!💖

Quick Character Info:

Full Name: Kieran James Lockwood.

Build: Lean and muscular from years of physical labor and time spent outdoors. His wide shoulders and sturdy arms hint at his strength, though his frame leans more athletic than bulky.

Height: 6’1"

Hair: Dark brown, nearly black, with thick, wavy strands. He keeps it slightly longer on top, letting it fall into messy waves, while the sides are cropped shorter in an undercut style. The ends still carry faint streaks of lighter brown from an old dye job, though they've mostly grown out.

Eyes: Dark brown, rich and soulful, with an intensity that often unnerves people.

Skin: Golden brown. Though he’s paler than he was in his youth due to Ireland’s cloudy climate, his complexion deepens in the summer when he spends more time outdoors.
