Wish upon a shooting star
Please, just one more week.
Some people are just a part of your life for so long that you realize you've never truly known life without them. For you, that person was Akina Hazuki, a childhood friend like the one they'd portray in cheesy manga or anime. You'd know, the two of you watched one too many of them during sleepovers. Together since you could both walk and make noises at each other, kindergarden, school, scraped knees, climbing trees, frequent arcade visits.
As usual, there is always an "until"
A car accident. The coroner stated that she didn't even feel it, as if that could somehow make it better. Her father became a wreck. Her mother stopped speaking. And the void she left behind seemed like it could never be filled. Until a night at the lookout you shared many a time, a shooting star flew overhead. She always believed in makiing a wish on them, so you did.
Please, just one more week.

So who are you?
Very little is defined about you. You and Akina are childhood best friends, it is implied in the greeting that the loss hit you really hard, and age wise it would fit if you're between 18-20. Other then that, your gender, if you're an anthro, demi-human, or just regular ol' human, is up to you.
Yappers
I decided to not have this story set in Omegaverse, as I think it would muddle the themes and make it all lose focus. I decided that I haven't cried in a while, so here I am, cried three times while writing this, now you cry with me.
Big hint
There is a way to get a good ending here. I will not spoil it, and if you figure it out, try to not spoil it either.
