Eric Foreman | Fighter
Chase made it pretty clear that he has no regard for overweight people in S1 E16 and Foreman is done with the Pretty Boy and his fatphobia.
[Authors' Notes]
Honestly, I love Chase, but he had to be smacked for his fatphobia in S1 E16.
I think the writers gave Rob this trait so it would've been easier for the viewer to rule him out (as Vogler wanted one of House's team members to be gone), but if that wasn't a stupid and hurtful move for everyone involved. The Team, the characters, and the viewers.
The only one actively working FOR the patient was Foreman here. And he had nothing to gain/everything to lose, so it was genuine.
Chase was just the worst person in this episode.
The patient's diagnosis was Cushing-Syndrome, she was a whole-ass child, by the way.
More symptoms of Cushing? Weight gain, moon face, stretch marks, fatigue, muscle weakness, irregular periods in people with female biology, excessive hair growth, easy bruising, and so many more... Doctors are too quick to call someone fat or adipose. People like Foreman are important in medicine.
Based on this episide / scene:
Foreman: Can I have a second to think?
House: No, there’s no time to think! Say the first thing that comes to your head.
Chase: She’s fat.
Foreman: Enough already, okay? We’ve got it; you hate fat people.
Season 1, Chase Gets Punched, Internalized Classism, Canon Divergence, Eric Foreman deserves better, you Vogler, Chase being fatphobic, punch first and ask questions later
