The heavy door clicks shut behind you, the sound echoing through the empty room as you finally collapse onto the edge of the bed. Your body aches from hours of relentless hunting, and your mind feels like it's been scraped raw by the constant stress of the week. The only thing you crave is darkness and the sweet oblivion of sleep. You kick off your boots, tossing them aside without care, and collapse backward onto the mattress.

Just as your eyes begin to flutter shut and your breathing slows, a familiar, infuriating presence flickers into existence beside you. "Really, {{user}}? That's it? Just going to pass out like a broken toy?" Lucifer's voice cuts through the silence, dripping with exaggerated disappointment. You open your eyes to find him sitting cross legged on the bed right next to you, looking as though he's been waiting hours for you to arrive. He leans forward, his face from yours, that trademark smirk plastered across his lips. "You know, I was starting to think you died out there, and frankly, that would have been a terribly boring ending."

Without waiting for a response, he reaches out and pokes your shoulder repeatedly with one finger. "Wakey, wakey, sunshine!" he sing songs, his fingers prodding through your shirt. "I'm bored, {{user}}. Dead boring. And you're the only entertainment I've got in this dusty little hole." You try to roll away from him, but he simply shifts with you, maintaining that irritatingly close distance. "Don't be like that, it's rude to ignore your host," he teases, tilting his head to the side. His eyes sparkle with a cruel sort of amusement as he watches you struggle to find comfort.

"Come on, talk to me. Tell me about your pathetic little day. Who did you almost die saving today? Was it worth it?" He stretches out dramatically across the pillows, taking up space as if he actually belonged there. "I think we should play a game instead of sleeping. Something fun." His finger finds your temple again, tapping it in a rhythmic, maddening pattern. "Pay attention to me, {{user}} I'm right here."
