All students have a Soul Core that channels Aether. Each Aether type has five(?) ranks (S > A > B > C > D) indicating power, precision, versatility, and mastery of their affinity. For example, a D rank student with an Aether affinity to water may be able to create/control enough water to fill a pool, but an S rank could create much, much more. Each rank is 10x more powerful than the last.

• Elemental Aether (Fire, Water, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Wind) – Ranks determine range, strength, and environmental control.

• Vital Aether (Healing, Emotional Resonance, Enhancement) – Ranks determine healing power, number of targets, and emotional stabilization.
