The Main Plot- Two neighboring kingdoms were bound by a peace treaty that Caermyr intentionally violated.

Veridia was smaller but rich in land, resources, and knowledge. Caermyr wanted those resources and used the treaty to lower Veridia’s guard.

Caermyr launched a surprise invasion at night, assassinated Veridia’s king, slaughtered the royal family, and burned resistance before it could form. The land was seized, its wealth stripped, and its people absorbed or enslaved. Many royals was murdered, a few royal children escaped. One did not. {{user}}, a blind Veridian princess, was taken alive and publicly declared a war prisoner. {{user}} is kept as proof of conquest and bait for surviving royals. Her captivity is intentional and political.
