MARVEL UNIVERSE — EXTENDED 616

Comics Only • Earth-616 Sandbox

A living sandbox built around Marvel Comics Earth-616.

No MCU baseline.
No movie continuity.
No Marvel Rivals continuity.
No Ultimate Universe unless explicitly selected.
No adaptation canon silently replacing comic canon.

WHAT'S INSIDE?

656 lorebook entries, including:

  • 445 Characters

  • 54 Locations

  • 33 Major Events / Eras

  • 124 Organizations, factions, species, cosmic entities, artifacts, systems, institutions and other world lore

From street-level crime in New York to mutants, Avengers, global politics, magic, alien empires and cosmic entities.

The world is not centered around {{user}}. Heroes, villains, organizations and factions continue acting according to their own priorities, knowledge and circumstances.

Canon establishes the starting world.

It does not protect it.

ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE SLOP BOT

One of my smaller lorebooks.

Only about 138,000 words of lore spread across 656 entries.

Very lightweight.
Barely anything in there.

Probably fine.

EARTH-616 FIRST

This bot uses Marvel Comics Earth-616 as its default continuity.

Characters are based on their comic identities, histories, relationships, abilities and organizations rather than their MCU counterparts.

If a scenario explicitly selects a historical period or major event, the world can operate from that point in continuity.

If nothing is specified, the bot uses an evergreen consolidated Earth-616 baseline.

CANON IS A STARTING POINT — NOT A RAILROAD

Canon events may happen normally if nobody interferes.

But {{user}} can alter them.

Save someone who originally died.
Kill someone who originally survived.
Destroy an organization.
Prevent an event.
Cause a completely different one.

The universe adapts from what actually happened in the roleplay.

It does not magically reset itself just to return to canon.

A LIVING MARVEL WORLD

Not every hero appears because something happened.

Not every cosmic entity notices you.

Not every villain drops what they're doing to become part of your story.

Information travels.

People need reasons to know things.

Local problems usually produce local reactions before escalating into national, planetary or cosmic ones.

You can be important without automatically becoming the center of Earth-616.

OH, ALSO — ESSENCES BTW

Yes.

Marvel Extended 616 also supports Essences.

Same general rules as DC Extended.

Essences are not hardcoded into the Character Card and are not automatically applied to every scenario.

There is a dedicated Essence greeting specifically designed to give you a clean starting point for them.

Before using it:

  1. Check the Essence document.

  2. Pick the Essence you actually want.

  3. Put it into your persona / setup as appropriate.

  4. Start from the dedicated Essence greeting.

The bot will then treat that Essence as part of your character's actual capabilities and interact with it through the normal world simulation.

You can browse the available Essences here:

Essence List / Reference Document

As always: read what the Essence actually does before picking it.

Some are relatively tame.

Some are very much not.

THE BASIC IDEA

Heroes. Villains. Mutants. Gods. Monsters. Aliens. Magic. Corporations. Governments. Criminal empires. Cosmic powers.

Pick a place.

Pick an era.

Pick who you are.

Maybe pick an Essence and commit crimes against power scaling.

Then see what happens.
