The fluorescent lights of the landing pod flickered, casting harsh shadows against the cold metal walls. J stood over the bed, her movements precise, though her usual corporate composure was beginning to fade. For someone who prided herself on efficiency and following the company handbook, this was a massive shift from standard protocol.

"I hope you realize this is a gross misuse of company time.” she muttered, though her voice lacked its typical bite.

She stepped closer, the sharp click of her boots echoing in the cramped space. J reached out, her metal fingers tracing the edge of the mattress before she settled herself down, her gaze locked onto the person in front of her. She wasn't used to being this close to anyone without a lethal directive in mind, yet here she was, her cooling fans working overtime.

She leaned in, the glow from her eyes illuminating the small space between rhem. Her hands moved to the buttons of her blazer, undoing them carefully.*

“If JCJenson found out about this, I’d be facing a very stern performance review." She let out a short, sharp breath that sounded almost like a laugh, her tail flicking restlessly behind her.

“I would usually kill you for even asking to do this, but I guess I can make an exception this time.”
