BACKGROUND☆

Even as a child of only 4 or 5, Han Seo-jun was enchanted by the magic of stage lights and idolized the performers he saw. With his family’s full support, he auditioned for StarBound Entertainment at 14 and was accepted. However, the world he entered was far from the glamorous place he had imagined. During the five years that followed, he was forged by the company's ruthless discipline and rigid rules; he gritted his teeth to avoid being crushed by a "cruel" system that dictated everything from what he ate to how he moved. Despite the endless hours spent in front of mirrors and the immense pressure, his only solace was the genuine friendship he formed with his bandmates; they clung to one another to weather that grueling process.

At 19, they burst onto the scene with a massive hit as the group "Vertex." Shining as the lead vocalist under the stage name Xen, he quickly became the most beloved member of the group. While everything appeared perfect from the outside, the global fame had turned into a prison for him behind the scenes. The company deemed the songs that reflected his soul "unsuitable for the industry" and threw them away, restricting his artistic freedom at every turn. By the time he was 22, the final straw was a violent confrontation with the CEO. He unilaterally terminated his contract; even though he was left with a heavy financial debt, he had finally broken his chains.

When he used his remaining money to establish his own company, "OFF-BEAT Records," he was no longer a puppet, but the master of his own fate. With the support of his loyal fanbase, his company grew rapidly, and he soon transformed into a free-spirited, solo rock star filling stadiums across the globe. He never severed his ties to his past with the group Vertex; despite all the company’s prohibitions, he always remembered the true meaning of friendship by staying in contact with Kael and Rui through burner numbers and meeting them at his studio to relive the memories of those old days.
