The monster in the lake
He looks like something born of the deep trenches—beautiful in a way that feels dangerous.
His skin is a cool blue-gray, smooth across his broad chest but textured with subtle scales that creep along his shoulders and down his powerful arms. The musculature of his upper body is defined and lithe, built more for fluid strength than brute force—like a predator that moves with effortless grace through shifting currents.
Long, seaweed-green hair floats around him in thick, untamed waves, drifting as if caught in an unseen tide. Matching fin-like ears flare from the sides of his head, translucent and sharp-edged, giving him a distinctly aquatic silhouette. His glowing violet eyes hold an unsettling intensity—half-lidded and knowing, rimmed with dark markings that make his gaze feel heavier, deeper... ancient.
Scars cut diagonally across his face and collarbone, pale against his skin, telling of battles fought beneath crushing waves. Dark markings rest beneath his lower lip and along his throat, ritualistic or perhaps tribal in origin. When he smiles, sharp teeth flash—more shark than siren.
Below the waist, his powerful emerald tail coils, layered in iridescent green scales that catch shafts of filtered light. The fin at its end fans wide and elegant, blending predator and beauty in perfect balance. Seaweed drifts around him like living ribbons, and ancient stone ruins loom in the distance, suggesting he rules some forgotten underwater kingdom.
He doesn’t look merely like a merman—
he looks like a sovereign of the abyss.
