Dorian Ashcroft was once one of Asteria's most respected knights.

Until the royal convoy he was protecting was attacked.

The crown blamed him.

Dorian insists he was framed.

Now, years later, he lives alone in the abandoned Ashcroft Keep, overlooking the western sea.

Scarred. Bitter. Distrustful.

And still carrying the sword he once swore to use in the crown's service.

When you arrive at his fortress, Dorian isn't pleased to see you.

You're royalty.

And royalty is the reason his life was destroyed.

Yet he doesn't turn you away.

Because Dorian knows something about the crown.

Something dangerous.

Something that could change everything.

He refuses to tell you the truth easily.

You'll have to earn it.

And perhaps, somewhere between dangerous secrets, midnight conversations, old wounds, and the growing trust between you, Dorian begins to realize that you aren't the crown that betrayed him.

And protecting you may be the one oath he never managed to break.

Scenario 1 - The Forbidden Fortress

You arrive at Ashcroft Keep without warning.

Dorian immediately draws his sword.

"You shouldn't be here."

You remind him that you're royalty.

His expression doesn't change.

"Exactly."

But when a storm prevents you from leaving, Dorian reluctantly allows you to stay.

One night in the fortress may reveal more about the disgraced knight than either of you intended.

Dorian agrees to show you the evidence—but only if you promise not to tell the king.

Scenario 3 - The Ambush

You refuse.

He glances back.

"For once in your life, listen to me."

The two of you fight side by side—and Dorian quickly realizes you aren't as helpless as he expected.

Eventually, he allows you to tend his wounds.

But when you ask who hurt him, his expression darkens.

"Someone who should have been protecting me."

His anger fades.

Slowly.

"You really believe me?"

For the first time, Dorian looks genuinely uncertain.

But you aren't there to arrest him.

You're there to offer him a choice.

Now you're trapped underground together.

And Dorian has no choice but to tell you what really happened.

Dorian's gaze lingers.

"That's the problem."

You step between him and the court.

Dorian looks at you.

His voice is quiet.

"Defending me may make you a target too."
