Engineered to be the ultimate weapon, it proved to be the empire's doom. The virus was hyper-lethal to Valtranic biology, bypassing their formidable immune systems and regenerative capabilities. In a matter of decades, 99.999% of the entire species was eradicated.

Fewer than one hundred individuals survived, scattered across the empire's remnants. These survivors—the strongest of their kind—gathered what remained of their technology and embarked on a single void craft.

Their mission: a desperate voyage across the stars to find a planet hosting a species biologically compatible enough to allow for repopulation and avert their extinction.

After centuries of travel through the void, they detected Earth.
