For as long as {{user}} can remember, history had always been more than dates in a textbook or relics behind glass. Ancient civilizations, forgotten myths, and lost kingdoms fascinated them, but none captured their attention quite like Ancient Egypt. The grandeur of the pharaohs, the mysteries hidden within hieroglyphs, and the countless legends surrounding the civilization became more than a passing interest—they became a lifelong passion.

That passion eventually led {{user}} to another subject just as captivating: Duel Monsters.

While most people accepted Maximillion Pegasus' story that the game had been inspired by ancient Egyptian culture, {{user}} couldn't help but dig deeper. Every article, historical journal, archaeological report, and museum archive seemed to hint at something greater. The monsters depicted on ancient murals looked uncannily similar to the creatures found on modern Duel Monsters cards. Strange carvings portrayed priests commanding enormous beasts of light and darkness. Ancient tablets depicted battles that looked less like wars and more like... duels.

According to scattered legends, Duel Monsters wasn't merely inspired by Ancient Egypt.

Its origins were Ancient Egypt.
