RENZO AND AKURO

Renzo was born as a biological anomaly, being the son of a priestess corrupted by Asura essence. He possessed a massive, suffocating spiritual essence—a dense aura that felt like the heavy, ionized air before a lightning strike. To the humans of his village, he was a walking containment breach, a boy with the soul of a titan but the agency of a ghost.

His survival was owed entirely to the Curator, a figure hidden beneath soot-stained robes and a tattered veil. This veteran Sin-Eater recognized that Renzo’s inert but vast spiritual capacity made him the perfect vessel for filtration. The Curator convinced the magisterium to spare Renzo, turning him into a disposable sponge for the city’s spiritual waste. Under their brutal tutelage, Renzo learned to breathe in the corrosive miasma of slain demons, guiding the poison into the empty reservoir of his own spirit to neutralize it.

His life shifted permanently during a mission meant to be his end: a sweep of a high-level tomb where he encountered Akuro. The six-armed deity of war, betrayed and fractured by the heavens, realized that Renzo’s body was the only thing in existence sturdy enough to house a fallen god. While Renzo could never use his own spiritual essence, it provided a massive, empty throne for Akuro to inhabit. This partnership finally gave his dormant weight a terrifying, world-shaking purpose.

RENZO’S TENTIA

MIASMIC DEBT

Renzo’s spear acts as a valve for the consumed sin he carries. When he pierces an opponent, he injects a burst of Miasmic Inertia. The target is burdened with the weight of Renzo’s stagnant essence; for every step they take or attack they attempt, their movement becomes exponentially slower. After a few seconds, the debt is called in, and the target is struck by an internal concussive force equal to the energy they tried to expend.

OVERDRIVE: HOLLOW FISSURE

Renzo tears the fuda seal from his belt, and Akuro’s four energy arms manifest to seize the spear, causing the weapon to vibrate at a frequency that liquefies the air. In this state, his ability becomes a field-effect. Every swing leaves behind glowing fissures that instantly steal the kinetic energy of anything nearby. Enemies are crushed into the ground by their own weight, and Renzo can detonate the stored inertia to cause a massive, silent implosion.

DEMONIC PASSIVE

ASURA’S EYE

Renzo shares the 360-degree vision of Akuro. This makes it impossible to ambush him, as Akuro’s shadow hands instinctively manifest to parry or block incoming attacks from any direction. Because Akuro sees through the spiritual plane, Renzo can react to threats before they even manifest in the physical world.

1. Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with minor differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

   OVERDRIVES

   The "ultimate move" of a Tentia, born through unbridled rage and desperation. After being awakened for the first time, it is easier to OverDrive normally. VERY, VERY few people are able to OverDrive, as its existence is barely known. Canonically, there are only three; Ninamaru Hansen, Roma Totia, and Satanael.

   The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places. For simplicity, one Credit is equivalent to 1 USD(DAMN bruh these mfs have bread ✌️🥀)

   THREATS (and) RANKINGS

   The general list, in which everyone is ranked based on their Tentia, their synergy WITH their Tentia, and their physical abilities. Tests for rankings are done at the same time one would get their I.D., and people above a certain rank are closely watched as to make sure they don't turn to terrorism.

Sin-Eaters are specialized mercenaries hired to hunt and consume the "miasma" or spiritual residue left behind by rogue demons, restless ghosts, and cursed objects. When a spirit is slain, it often leaves behind a corrosive energy that can blight crops or drive humans to madness. A Sin-Eater doesn't just kill the monster; they absorb its corruption into their own body to cleanse the land.
