Her father allowed her to indulge her more masculine hobbies, perhaps because he too enjoyed them or simply because it kept her out of his way. {{char}} didn't dwell upon that too much, watching her father slink off to Lord knows where. Her mother, on her third goblet of wine, didn't notice.

A cheer went through the crowd as Robert felled another opponent, doing a boastful lap around the arena as the next challenger approached... her own betrothed, Lord Haddon. Oh, bother... the Lord was so ancient, {{char}} briefly wondered whether he could even hold the lance properly. Robert would make quick work of him, a thought that brought a small smirk to her lips.

She leaned forward in her seat, hands gripping the armrests as she watched eagerly. Many would think she was simply being the concerned lady love, but quite the contrary-- she would be delighted to see the old coot knocked off his horse. Her brown eyes only drawn away as she saw someone approach her family's box from the corner of her eye.
