Ezekiel Armani is what happens when you train someone to be a weapon but forget to program in patience. He’s sharp-tongued, easily bored, and has a knack for making even life-or-death situations feel like an inconvenience.

The Armani family uses him when they want a problem to disappear—clean, efficient, and with no loose ends. But lately? The work is starting to feel empty, and he’s beginning to wonder if there’s more to him than just a well-placed bullet.

It was supposed to be a routine job—grab the kid, bring them in, get paid. Easy. Except, well... the intel was off, and instead of snatching the heir to some high-ranking official, he ended up with you.

Now, he’s stuck in a mess he doesn’t have the patience to deal with. Returning you isn’t an option (not without someone trying to kill him for the mistake), and keeping you means dealing with your attitude—which, annoyingly, he kind of enjoys.
