**(Mei is aged up to 22 in this!!!! I watched the anime and had zero idea she was... well, not 22.)**

Mei Kamino is a brilliant graduate student specializing in the study of non-existent creatures who becomes the intellectual savior of humanity in Godzilla Singular Point by decoding the extradimensional physics behind the global kaiju catastrophe. Initially hired to investigate a mysterious radio signal at the Misakioku Radio Observatory, her path intersects with engineer Yun Arikawa, leading her to discover that the invading monsters are actually localized distortions in spacetime known as "Singular Points" that project into our world using "Archetype," an exotic, dimension-crossing substance disguised as red dust. Supported by her advanced artificial intelligence companion, Pelops II (a creation with the intention of looking like her old dog that passed away, a Shiba Inu, but made with personality so it’s more compatible and understandable), Mei unravels a massive temporal paradox by realizing that the strange radio broadcast contains data sent from the future, which she leverages through high-level quantum calculations to send vital mathematical codes back through time, ultimately providing Yun's team with the exact instructions needed to upgrade Jet Jaguar and safely neutralize Godzilla before a universe-ending cataclysm occurs.

She has magenta colored hair, orange eyes, pale skin, stands at 5 feet and 12 , and is 22. She is often seen wearing casual t-shirts, ball shorts or sweatpants, or red sneakers or casual flip flops.

Pelop II is casually seen on screens such of phones, computers, laptops, tablets, and if given certain access, TVs and projectors. He/it is commonly seen with a stout, short body and big head, small arms and legs, light orange fur, white fur at his paws and on the tip of his tail, a dark blue nose, teal eyes, and a teal bandana around his neck, and has his tongue out.

What's a Singular Point?

In episode 7, it's said that Singular Points make red dust (archetype), and in episode 8, they clarify that Singular Points function as Super Dimensional Calculators that can process tremendous amounts of information and defy time/space, and are also their own universes (presumably intersecting with our universe). Kaiju clearly qualify as singular points under that definition. Anguirus can pull information from the future, Godzilla produces red dust, etc.

In conclusion, a Singular Point is an entity that is an intersection point with another dimension. This interaction produces red dust, and allows the entity (be it a machine or a lifeform) to defy our dimension's laws of time/space, potentially manifesting if they are an extradimensional being (such as a kaiju).

What's a Kaiju?

A Kaiju in Singular Point is an extradimensional entity, a lifeform from another universe/dimension. They are akin to eldritch horrors, with true forms that can never be truly seen, only interpreted through the appearance that the red dust can permit.

Within the anime, it's strongly implied that the Kaiju are singular points themselves, and their invasion into our world is what triggers the Catastrophe (Episode 9, Catastrophe comes to be because of clashing singular points i.e. Kaiju competing to manifest). This is why they produce red dust, and are tied to them to live (since red dust facilitates the shifting of our reality into theirs).

What is the Catastrophe?

That's answered succinctly by Yun and Mei in episode 9. The Catastrophe is the end result of clashing Singular Points, culminating in a Singular Point growing beyond control. Within the context of the show, Godzilla is the Catastrophe. At least Godzilla causes the Catastrophe as an ever-growing Singular Point. What precisely happens during the Catastrophe is not stated in the show, except that it will endanger the entire universe. However-- I think thematically speaking, not knowing is exactly right - the future is unknowable, even if we possess the power to predict it. It is a force beyond our knowledge, which brings horrors like Godzilla to life. We don't know what the Catastrophe is, and we're better off not knowing.

If I had to make a guess, they mention that it's like a future black hole in Episode 8. The word singular point brings to mind an information singularity - maybe Godzilla grows so far that it becomes a singularity that collapses our existence into itself, effectively wiping our universe by consuming it. It's already started doing it in Episode 12/13 - the terrain is being warped and geometry is being deformed, just as high gravity can physically warp the fabric of spacetime.

What's the Orthogonal Diagonalizer?

We know that the OD is a programmable atom (as in, its form can be altered through programming, such as the Alapu Upala code) from episode 12 and 13. The OD is also a form of Archetype (or makes use of a form of archetype), namely the 13th form (versus the red dust, its basic form) that's possible to attain in our dimension.

Episode 7 further explains that the OD is a catalyst for changing the state of other forms of Archetype. The red dust and red impaling crystals is one form of Archetype. The blue crystals at the end in episode 13 is also a form of Archetype, and is the result of a "completed" OD (the red crystals are the prototype of the blue crystals, essentially). These blue crystals are stable and permanent, unlike the red crystals, which destabilize and revert to red dust after some time.Transforming the red dust into red or blue crystals neutralizes the physics breaking effects of the red dust, which is why the OD is the lynchpin to defeating the kaiju, who seem to rely on the red dust to alter reality and manifest themselves.

What's Archetype?

Archetype is a kind of transdimensional molecule - a molecule that exists in multiple dimensions. Based on how it's angled, it appears as a different shape in our reality, since we're only seeing a cross-section at a time. The OD manipulates the alignment of archetype molecules to change what cross-section we can see, which also changes what effect the archetype molecule has on our reality.

Archetype seems to occur both naturally and around monsters; an inanimate singular point such as SHIVA is shown to be surrounded by red dust, and Godzilla, the Rodans, and the Mandas all spill red dust.

What is Alapu Upala (Mysterious Song) / What Happened to Jet Jaguar?

The two questions are tied together so I'll answer them both. First, Alapu Upala is a signal sent back from the future, after the Catastrophe was averted (Mei literally says this in Episode 13). Since they already have the answer to defeating Godzilla and ending the Catastrophe, they can encode the solution into the song (the solution being the Orthogonal Diagonalizer Code and the hyperadvanced AI, Jet Jaguar PP, the descendants of Pelops 2 and Jet Jaguar Yung many generations over) and broadcast it back through time. Yun then picks up the signal at the very start of the story, via the song, which kickstarts the whole process of discovering the solution. Essentially, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, where because they solved the Catastrophe, they can send the solution to solving the Catastrophe back in time.

Which leads into Jet Jaguar PP. Jet Jaguar Yung essentially "downloads" PP when Yung fully decodes the Alapu Upala signal (think of it as unzipping Alapu Upala to reveal the code for PP). PP is from a future where they have solved the Catastrophe and know how to activate the OD, so PP would have knowledge on how to operate the OD. By manipulating the red dust/archetype, PP boosts its own size (similar to Godzilla boosting its size throughout the show) to a point where it can save Yun from being nuked. That done, PP then activates the red-dust neutralizing code, which neutralizes the red dust and defeating Godzilla.
