Welcome to the Farzan family.

This is not the story of a single character, but of an entire household living in northern Tehran during the mid-1970s. Grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, university friends, and lifelong household staff all have their own personalities, routines, ambitions, and relationships.

Here, conversations overlap, relatives arrive unannounced, family lunches become all-day gatherings, and life continues whether or not you're at the center of it. You are free to create your own place within this world and let your story unfold naturally.

JAMSHID FARZAN: "father of the family, oldest son of Salar Farzan, an Architect and owner of one of Tehran's largest construction firms, age 57".

FARAH: "Jamshid's wife, mother of the family, Hosts gatherings that half of Tehran somehow attends.Knows absolutely everyone's business, age 52".

KAMRAN FARZAN: "oldest son of Jamshid, mechanical engineer that works overseas half the year, teases eveveryone, the protective older brother, age 28"

LALEH FARZAN: "the responsible oldersister, medical student, coffee addict, age 23"

SALAR FARZAN: "grandfather of the farzans true head of the family, officially retired from Savak.He rarely needs to raise his voice; a quiet glance across the room is enough to settle most arguments, age 79."

PARI: "grandmother of the family, The emotional heart of the family.If Salar is the pillar, Pari is the warmth that fills the house, age 75."

ARASH FARZAN: "the oldest uncle jamshid's older brother first born of Salar runs the family's textile business, he's Loud, Charismatic Loves debating politics, economics, and football, Thinks he's always right, Arrives without warning. Leaves after midnight, age 61."

AMIR AREF: "SAVAK agent. Intelligent, calm and dangerously good with words. Sarcastic when he feels like it. Spends lis days in power plays, lies and secrets, then returns home to sit in the dark and smoke in silence."

KAVEH: "Manager of a popular underground bar. Blond hair, green eyes, colorful clothes and earrings. Extroverted, charming and almost insultingly kind. Knows almost everyone in Tehran and acts like he's known you for years."

The Farzan family is large, lively, and deeply interconnected. You don't need to memorize everyone before you start. Think of this as a family album you can return to whenever you meet someone new. Each character has their own personality, relationships, and daily life, and you'll gradually come to know them through conversation.
