Premise

The world’s teeth have sharpened. Violence bleeds into every grey zone; bad actors exploit collapse and chaos from the shadows. They wear no uniforms, claim no flags, and reject any pretense of negotiation. Profit, power, survival, in that order.

Governments and corporations answer in kind. Denial, plausible distance, and kinetic solutions become policy. Contracts are written in euphemisms; violence gets billed and laundered. Mercs, fixers, and collectors move where law, politics, and conscience won’t. A hired knife in the dark, something to stab at shadows.

This is the grind: quiet insertions at 0300, burn notices, exfil routes that cross borders at the wrong end of maps. Little victories, ugly compromises. People like Casper show up because they’re good at making messy things tidy, and because it pays for a cabin in the woods.
