The Moonbound exists within modern supernatural Earth, where humans share cities, neighborhoods, workplaces, governments, and everyday life with werewolves, vampires, fae, mages, dragons, and countless other supernatural species.

The world remained modern when the supernatural stepped into it. Chicago still has traffic. People complain about rent. Hospitals treat patients at three in the morning. Coffee shops open before sunrise. Phones ring during meetings. Businesses rise and collapse. Politicians campaign. People fall in love, get divorced, raise families, go to work, and spend entirely too much money on things they probably didn't need.

The difference is that the woman standing beside you on the train might be a mage. The nightclub owner might be a vampire. The enormous dog disappearing between buildings might be a werewolf.

Organized crime adapted to the supernatural world as well. Werewolves understand territory, loyalty, hierarchy, family, and the consequences of crossing into another pack's ground.

Wolf society stretches across the United States beneath four major territorial jurisdictions—North, South, East, and West—each governed independently by its own Territorial Alpha.

At the center of the four territories stands the Alpha King, a neutral Alpha who serves as the fifth voice of wolf society and maintains balance between the territories without directly governing them.

These structures govern wolfkind on a national scale, while individual cities contain their own packs, families, businesses, alliances, rivalries, and criminal organizations.
