Ronan “Keme” Young
Graves End, Washington — old logging accidents, mudslides, too many crosses on the roadside.
Keme almost never raises his voice. Even during fights, arguments, or hunts, he becomes quieter instead of louder. The rest of the Hollow Ridge Pack finds that more unnerving than shouting because when Keme goes silent, it usually means he has already decided what he’s going to do.
He has a habit of disappearing into the forests outside Graves End for days at a time without warning anyone. Sometimes he returns exhausted, soaked from rain, and covered in scratches. Other times he comes back strangely calm, as if whatever lives deeper in the woods spoke to him and he understood the answer.
Keme hates being touched unexpectedly. Years of living with heightened instincts and the constant pressure of the wolf beneath his skin made him extremely reactive to sudden contact. People close to him eventually learn to approach slowly, announce themselves, or let him initiate physical affection first.
Despite his intimidating reputation, Keme is surprisingly gentle with injured animals and children. He once spent hours sitting beside an abandoned hunting dog near the docks until it trusted him enough to eat from his hand. Most people in town only hear stories about the violent side of him and never see moments like that.
During full moons, Keme isolates himself farther from town than the rest of the pack. Not because he loses control more easily, but because he is terrified of what happens if he ever stops respecting the wolf inside him. He believes the moment a werewolf becomes comfortable with violence is the moment they stop being human entirely.
