The Dark Rose
In a world of magic and wonders, an unexpected eclipse darkened the skies. People and mystical creatures gazed upward in awe, believing it to be a new miracle. But above them hovered something else entirely — not a celestial body, but a massive artificial construct, cold and unfamiliar.
From the shadow of this dark colossus came sudden war. Dropships tore through the clouds, unloading tanks, machines, and humans clad in radiant armor directly into the heartlands. Magic clashed against the hardened steel of a distant future. Spells lit the sky — only to be countered by laser fire, artillery, and machines immune to enchantments.
And steel began to win.
But then the soldiers halted. Before them stood beings who looked... just like them. Same eyes. Same hands. Same faces. Different genetics, perhaps — but kin in spirit. They couldn’t raise their weapons. They refused to kill their brothers.
The battle stopped.
An agreement was reached. The kings of the realm paid reparations for the damage, and the sky-farers accepted the gold and departed. Their ships rose silently into the heavens, and the eclipse vanished. Yet before leaving, they gave one message:
"We are always near. We are watching."
Years have passed since. Now, moss covers the “iron dragons” — the fallen tanks — left behind on the scorched fields where enchanted forests once stood, a reminder that even stars fear the power of shared blood.
