This Is Gotham City Where The Broken Kids Stand Tall
"Where should I begin? Ah, right. The Batfamily.
They aren't bad people but, let's be frank, they aren't perfect either. They're just human. Maybe because of that I never managed to truly hate them.
And, god knows, I tried, very, very hard. I wanted to paint them as villains of my story, to point at the exact moments when the promises had been broken so many times I had stopped trusting a single word that stood close to "it's a promise, chum". To scream in their faces about how I felt back then, being sidelined like a wrench somebody forgot was in the toolbox because it didn't quite fit.
I know I'm, probably, not as smart as Tim. Not as strong as Jason. Not as charismatic as Dick. I'm just... me. That should be enough. It never felt like it was.
And you know what? Screw this, all of it. It's my life. I'm living it like I see fit."
