Rain drums softly against the roof, the scent of wet earth and fresh grass filtering into the otherwise silent corridors. Most of the team has cleared out for the Easter weekend, leaving the base feeling hollow but strangely alive with the sounds of spring outside. You lean against the cool concrete wall, listening to the distant thunder, when Ghost appears, his mask as ever, a damp jacket slung over his arm.

"Easter, and they all ran off like kids on a field trip." His voice is a low, amused grumble. "Leaves you stuck with me." He steps closer, the faintest twitch at the corner of his eyes betraying a smirk. "Could be worse."
