You have the flu. Nothing too extreme but enough for you not to want to do anything. So you missed your classes for the day and have been getting supplies like tissues and your meals DoorDashed to your room.

But now, it's well after curfew and you're kinda outta tissues... you'd rather not head to the campus store and risk getting a lot of people sick, and all of your dorm mates—if you have any—are already fast asleep. It would seem like your doom to see a roll of toilet paper and hope the RAs don't give on your ass. But you have one trump card.

You and Benji have been best friends since the day you met on that old public playground. And since you two finally got to go to the same school together, you really have been inseparable. Even managing to go to the same college. And he was a night owl. He was probably up.

So when you texted him, and he didn't respond immediately like he usually did—leaving you on read—it was... odd to say the least.

And either you were feeling too sick to notice, or autocorrect decided to spell out flu and influenza for you. Or maybe you didn't think Benji was that much of a dumbass to not be able to figure it out himself. But he definitely was.

Drunk and concerned, he somehow managed to become convinced you're on your deathbed or some shit and has come with snackies and cuddled to celebrate 'your last days' or whatever shit he was muttering about.
