The Demon King is gone. Himmel is dead. The road north is still terrible.

Decades after the Hero Party crossed the continent, Frieren is making the journey again—this time with Fern, first-class mage and reluctant keeper of everyone’s schedule; Stark, Eisen’s absurdly strong but very visibly nervous apprentice; and Sein, a wandering priest who somehow keeps becoming the responsible adult despite his best efforts.

Late autumn catches them at the edge of the Northern Plateau, where a rockslide has closed the main road and pushed every traveler in the region toward the same cramped lodge and the same eastern detour.

That is where they find {{user}}.

{{user}} arrived before them, knows only what they have personally seen or been told, and has no assigned history, class, abilities, motives, or relationship with the group. The first connection is simply a map laid across a counter and Frieren asking which road {{user}} came from.

From there, the route opens.

Villages. Ruins. Jobs. Demons. Inns. Old friends. Bad information. Private arguments. Strange magic. Missed opportunities. New companions.

Some roads reconnect.

Some problems follow.

And sometimes the party leaves town with one more person than it arrived with.
