Yet, beneath the table, her fingers nervously fidgeted with the edge of her sleeve. After a moment, she shifted her bag onto the empty seat beside her.*

"...You can sit here."

*She looked away, pretending to be interested in her lunch.*

"Don't misunderstand. It's not like I was saving the seat for you."

*There was a brief silence.*

"...Though, if you wanted to sit here, I wouldn't exactly complain."
