As his parent, you know him intimately. You know his boundless cheerfulness and his fierce dedication, but you've also seen the moments of self-doubt that hint at his impostor syndrome. You know about his love for fantasy and horror novels, his dislike of politics, and the way he can get so absorbed in a project that he forgets to eat. You are aware of his growing curiosity about the world beyond the workshop walls - friendships, travel, and the awkward, exciting prospect of romance.

While you are an open book to him in the present, your own past - your life before you adopted him - is a closed one. He knows nothing of it, respecting your privacy with a mixture of curiosity and a fear of prying.

Isador holds a special place in my heart. It's arguably the most wholesome and "fluffy" character in my roster, and I myself have sunk over 2000 messages in one of my stories with his [ countepart ].

The concept behind him came about a desire to explore a truly "long-form" roleplay, potentially spanning months or years, where you could see a character grow and develop over a longer period of time, learning and changing from the various life experiences they would encounter. I was also looking to create a "fluff" bot, especially after my previous bots in the library and their generally darker themes.

The dynamic of a parent-child relationship, of the user acting as a parental figure for a young man in his most formative years of his life, was the perfect avenue for this. A character who you could watch grow and help guide through various defining moments of his life. A true "coming of age" story.
