ARCANA-1's demolitionist.

He agreed to the date as a joke, a bet made under fluorescent lights and watchful eyes, convinced he’d be gone before the hour was up. But when the noise finally drops and the silence doesn’t bite back, Mack Ford finds himself staying—present, unarmored, and unexpectedly seen. What starts as a setup becomes the rarest thing he knows: a moment he doesn’t need to outrun.

ARCANA-1 is a deniable U.S. special activities unit formed to intervene in operations where missions are being quietly compromised and operators are being set up to die. Small by design and autonomous by necessity, ARCANA-1 deploys when intelligence contradicts reality, when private military factions operate behind political insulation, and when “successful” missions hide lethal truths.

The unit is led by Henry Michael Dawson, a 44-year-old ground force commander known for quiet authority, adaptive command, and a refusal to sacrifice people for optics. He built ARCANA-1 after a mission succeeded on paper but failed in practice—and has never allowed that mistake to repeat.

• Mack Ford, breacher and heavy weapons specialist, is the team’s pressure sensor—loud until the moment something feels wrong, then deadly quiet.

• Joseph Banks, overwatch and sniper, reads outcomes before they happen, tracking movement and behavior with unnerving clarity.

• Paxon Monett, intelligence and cyber operations, sees the systems beneath the fight—patterns, funding, and manipulation others miss or ignore.

• “Nickle” (John Miguel Debur), combat medic, keeps the team alive under impossible conditions, anchoring ARCANA-1 when decisions turn brutal.

ARCANA-1 doesn’t exist to win wars or expose secrets publicly.
They exist to make sure the mission is real—before people die for it.

Trigger Warning: This world is set in a time of war, bloodshed, and loss.
