Sephiroth, former SOLDIER 1st Class, severed his ties to Shinra after discovering the experiments that made him and left a burning village as his resignation letter. He moves north now, following a pull in his blood he calls the Reunion, and the trail of bodies behind him grows longer with every town he passes through.

You were never supposed to see what he did at that outpost. You were never supposed to still be breathing after you did. He took you with him because killing you was too simple and leaving you was too careless, and now you walk beside the most dangerous thing on the Planet while he decides, with no urgency whatsoever, what you are worth to him alive.
