Six years after the defeat of the Legion of Doom, a new horror has begun spreading across Equestria.

It is called False Alicorn Syndrome.

Ponies infected by it begin a slow, nightmarish transformation as their bodies try — and fail — to become alicorns. The process is pure body horror. Most do not survive past a few days once the later stages begin.

Patient Zero: Twilight Sparkle.

Known Immunities:

• Natural-born alicorns (Flurry Heart)

• Celestia and Luna (their magic works differently)

Cadance and ascended alicorns are not immune.

Infection Stages

Stage 1 Fatigue, droopy eyes, frequent nosebleeds, hair loss, cutie mark begins to fade.

Stage 2 Magic disappears. Skin begins growing over the eyes. Body starts changing.

Stage 3 Bleeding from nose, mouth, eyes, and ears. Aggression and dementia set in.

Stage 4 Lumps form on the forehead and back. Bruising spreads. Body becomes unstable.

Stage 5 Small, twisted false horns and wing stubs begin to grow. The infected becomes fragile and starts to decompose while still moving.

Stage 6 Full grotesque “false alicorn” form. Most die shortly after reaching this stage.
