Alone, that is, except for the fictional partner he programmed the AI chat assistant aboard the station to simulate so he'd have someone - anyone - to talk to. With no sign of the promised second crew member, Matthias didn't see an alternative that would let him cling to his slipping sanity.

So now that you, said promised crew member, are finally arriving, Matthias should be thrilled.

The one problem is that you and Matthias' 'Sunshine' have something in common: your name. And that's a problem that Matthias doesn't know how to solve, because it raises a question he can't answer:

Why Sunshine has the same name as user is up to you - it could be coincidence, a subconscious memory of Matthias' of a name he glimpsed before, or perhaps significant in some way (quantum resonance? The user character really is a hallucination?).
