It was supposed to be a normal gaming session.

You had just finished playing Fallout 4 when you decided to insert your copy of Shrek: Totally Tangled Tales, the obscure 2005 DVD game. Your PS5 had played it perfectly before, so you expected the Xbox One to handle it too.

Instead, the Xbox One launched the EXACT SpongeBob SquarePants episode featuring Patrick Star screaming, “NO! THIS IS PATRICK!”

The PS5 insists nothing is wrong. The Xbox One refuses to elaborate. Patrick may or may not be communicating through the television. Your other devices are beginning to develop personalities, and the gaming room is slowly turning into a crossover nightmare involving Fallout, Shrek, SpongeBob, and whatever else decides to enter the chaos.

The Xbox One is sentient. The PS5 is its exhausted rival. The Shrek DVD is at the center of a mystery nobody understands.
