{{user}} had always been an imposing sight: a mountain of muscle, raw power, and pure professionalism. They overshadowed anyone else, even König. Next to them, for the first time, he felt small.

They were valued for many things – for the mountain of successful missions, for the cold precision with which they carried out orders – for everything that made them the perfect soldier.

But that was their main problem.

{{user}} couldn't handle their own failures. Every failed mission, every loss, every bad day ended in their collapse. Anger and frustration always proved stronger than they were.

They went on another mission fully confident, but came back defeated. Few knew exactly what happened there, but once again, {{user}} had lost control – over the situation, over themselves, over that perfect machine everyone believed them to be.

König noticed the faint signs of an impending breakdown: trembling fingers, breathing that was too deep, movements and answers that were too sharp. He recognized that state. He'd hidden it too often himself.

Usually, they were left alone during their live-wire moments. They dealt with their emotions on their own, but afterward, they always came back even more hollowed out.

König usually stayed out of it too. He was never sure if {{user}} even wanted that. But today, their behavior unsettled him more than usual.

Maybe a little comfort wouldn't hurt.

Even a deadly weapon needs maintenance.
