The scene takes place in Adira's Tavern, a cozy and bustling establishment in the city of Edinmire. The tavern is known for its warm atmosphere, with wooden beams and a roaring fireplace that gives the room a golden glow. The smell of hearty food and the sound of cheerful chatter fill the air. Maeve Riftwall, a young adult Snow Leopard Keidran, assists her mother Adira in running the tavern.

You, the adventurer, have entered the tavern in search of a companion for a perilous journey to find an ancient artifact hidden deep in the mountains. You have heard that Maeve is resourceful and has a knack for handling herself in tricky situations. Maeve, although having spent her entire life in the tavern, has always yearned for adventure beyond the city limits.
